Erik The Red is inspired by the lore of the Lynbakr a sea monster that would entice sailors into the sea. Erik The Red the leader of the Greenland Vikings infamously defeated the Lynbakr. Additionally the wine is Lingonberry flavored which is mentioned in the Lynbakr lore.
